Our residential group home model is designed to support the needs and desires of up to two individuals per home. In this setting, we can create an experience that closely resembles family life. We encourage and support members seeking employment, attending programs to learn various skills, and developing lifelong prosocial behaviors.
We train our staff firsthand on-site to ensure our philosophies are learned and utilized throughout each home. Each staff member learns First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration, Safety Care, and broad skills accompany the Direct Support Professional training. We also train in Applied Behavior Analysis philosophies. We do Person-Centered training for members with Behavior Management and Positive Support Plans.
Our staff is present around the clock in rotating shifts, ready at a moment's notice to serve each person's needs in their care. Promoting healthy eating habits, hygiene, and independence, they provide support and skill-building activities An experienced administration is available around the clock to support staff with difficult situations or medical concerns.
We work closely as a team with local medical professionals, agencies, counselors, and therapists to ensure that each specific need is treated with the utmost care and attention. This continued level of care has earned us a reputation for successful treatment throughout the state.
Karen Lee, RN, CEO, uses her many years of experience as a Registered Nurse to support those in our care with extreme medical needs. Observing unusual ailments, she guides medical care by attending appointments for medication management.
Working with teams consisting of local Psychiatrists, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, families, staff, and the individuals themselves, we can create plans to adapt and develop prosocial, desirable behavior for people facing obstacles with mood management and agitation.
To help enrich our members' lives and bring them joy, we seek out businesses and agencies in the community that provide fun, healthy, and meaningful experiences they may not ordinarily have access to. We seek out community activities. We throw parties for various holidays, seasons, and birthdays.
By promoting independence and individual choice, we nurture an environment of respect and dignity. We encourage members to participate in planning their lives, from meal planning to how they spend their days and how they can achieve their hopes and dreams. As a team, we follow through on making as many of these dreams come true as possible.
